Jessie joined the Point of Care Foundation in December 2023. She has over 25 years’ senior experience in health and care systems and infrastructures with a focus on strategy, leadership, social innovation, people, power and health.

Jessie’s previous roles have focused on how to promote understanding of the rich and complex relationships between people who use services, the wider public, those who work in health and care and the systems that deliver it. She has worked directly supporting people experiencing care, in service improvement and transformation, research, education and regulation.

Jessie joined POCF after a period working as an independent consultant with clients including NHS England and Healthwatch England; NHS Confederation; The National Institute for Health and Care Research; Derbyshire Integrated Care Board; and the Queen Victoria Hospital.

Previously, Jessie was Director of Health and Care at Traverse (formerly OPM), a research and engagement consultancy working to reduce inequality and improve health and care outcomes in areas such as digital and remote healthcare, vaccination hesitancy, gender identity and patient safety.

Before that Jessie was Head of Public Support at The Nursing and Midwifery Council where she led on the development and delivery of the Public Support Service and a person-centred approach to regulation.
