Case study: Our Dorset

‘Our Dorset’ is the Integrated Care System for Dorset, bringing together health, social care and the voluntary sector to join up health and care services across the county.

Early in the ICS’s development, its leaders recognised the challenges inherent in bringing so many different types of organisations and teams into a single entity. If the ICS was to work, staff across all of its component parts needed to feel unified.

We worked with Our Dorset to provide a bespoke package of training in patient engagement and co-design to help build capacity within the Dorset ICS to work with service users and the public to develop services.

This work involved a mix of our EBCD training and a tailored version of our Foundations in Patient Experience course, to help to embed a focus on patient-centred care across the organisation.
