Applications open for next Schwartz Small cohort

17 October 2016

We are now accepting applications from organisations wishing to join our third cohort of ‘Schwartz small’, designed for smaller organisations such as care homes, medical schools, hospices or GP federations.

The core components of the Schwartz small model are the same as for NHS trusts, but some training is delivered online and mentoring is shared between organisations.

Research shows that all healthcare staff face similar emotional challenges in providing care, regardless of the setting. This new training and support package allows us to extend the reach of Rounds and support more staff to give compassionate care.

So far 17 small organisations have signed up to run Rounds as part of our cohort model.

The new package costs £4,500 for a two-year contract, which includes the licence to run Rounds, access to online training and membership of the Schwartz community.

The deadline for applications is 10 February 2017. Prior to that, organisations will need to secure commitment from senior management, secure funding and set up the necessary internal structures to prepare for the implementation of Schwartz Rounds.  You can download the information pack for full details.

To speak to someone about Schwartz Rounds, please contact our Programme Manager Esther Flanagan on 020 3841 5574. The application form can be downloaded from our website.
