Videos produced by Our Dorset show training in patient engagement, and its impact

Our Dorset, the Integrated Care System for Dorset, which brings together health, care and voluntary sector organisations to coordinate care, has published films showing the work and impact of a project supported by the Point of Care Foundation.

We provided a bespoke package of training in patient engagement and co-design to help build capacity within the Dorset ICS to work with service users and the public to develop services.

The support provided for Our Dorset provides a model for other Integrated Care Systems to follow. Part of NHS England’s Long Term Plan is for all areas of England to fall within an ICS by 2021. Bev Fitzsimons, who led the training in Dorset, wrote about the challenges and opportunities for patient-centred care in the ICS context in a recent blog.
