New films show impact of EBCD project on staff, patients and volunteers

06 March 2018

Three new short films highlight the impact of a project using Experience Based Co-Design at a hospital in Reading.

Three films, made in partnership with the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, show how an Experience Based Co-Design project has impacted staff, patients and volunteers at the trust.

The Quality Time Study, which began in 2014, focused on patients and staff at the Emergency Department. It has already received several awards but these films shed light on the impact of the work on three participants – an A&E doctor, a receptionist, and a volunteer who helps in the department.

Dr Liza Keating, one of the ED doctors involved in the project, has written a blog about the study and the EBCD process.
