2023 Impact Report published

18 April 2024

We are pleased to share our Impact Report for 2023.

The 2023 Impact Report looks across our activities during the calendar year 2023, showing how our work helped to create a more human health and care system.

The report shows:

  • An increase in the overall number of organisations hosting Schwartz Rounds, compared with 2022
  • Increased numbers of new organisations taking part in Schwartz Rounds, particularly in the Higher Education sector
  • Numbers of individuals trained in skills relating to improving the experience of care, including Experience Based Co-Design and our Foundations in Patient Experience Course
  • Work in strategic partnerships to have impact at a systemic level
  • Continued strong feedback from participants across our programmes

It also documents how we marked our 10th anniversary year, and the arrival in post of our new chief executive, Jessie Cunnett.

In closing remarks, Jessie wrote:

As an incoming chief executive I am bound to ask, what is it that the Point of Care brings to the world, what makes it special, and how can we best develop the work we do in a fast-changing health and care climate? The answers to these questions, I believe, lie in the unique combination of impacts our work brings: improving patient care, supporting the staff that provide that care, and championing the cause of humanised care across the system.”
