The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and Devon Partnership Trust entry is on a Compassionate Care Symposium they ran jointly in 2018. They held this with four organisations for 150 people who heard from three keynote speakers, took part in a number of workshops as well as a live Round.

Holly House Vets (winner)
Holly House’s entry showed how they utilised innovative methods to raise interest in Rounds among their staff. Having run Rounds for 12 months, they found difficulties in recruiting panellists. To help with this, they ran a workshop where people would listen to each others stories. It resulted in people who thought otherwise, to realise they had stories to tell and helped to revitalise impetus for Rounds.

Basildon’s entry is an innovative image which captures the range of emotions in Rounds.

UCL Medical School (winner)
UCLMS’ entry is on the very powerful stories in their Round titled ‘My First Day’. In it clinicians reflect on their first day as an F1 doctor and facilitator Michael Zervos, who at the time was a final year medical student, reflects on how he felt facilitating a Round on such a difficult topic to an audience of his peers.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust (winner)
The Christie’s entry is on a Round where ward sister Gemma Jones read out a moving poem entitled ‘Are we too busy to care’. The poem highlights the emotional difficulties NHS staff face in working with patients who die whilst managing both work and home-life pressures.
Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (winner)
Moorfields entry is an eye-catching poster which highlights how Rounds at Moorfields have been since starting them in February 2018.

Imperial’s entry is a vibrant poster which highlights an impressive number of Rounds and attendees across a number of their sites for the year of 2018.

Worcestershire’s entry is on their Schwartz Rounds administrator Norma Bingham, her colleagues said she is tireless in her encouragement of others and with her endless enthusiasm and energy shows she completely understands the value of the Rounds.
