We have closed

19 December 2025

The Point of Care Foundation is now closed, after 13 years as an independent charity dedicated to humanising health and care.

Our two main programmes, Experiences of Care and Schwartz Rounds, both continue under new leadership.

We are modifying this website to carry information about the work we did, and to house our publications. All our previous news, blogs and podcasts remain available, as does our evidence library. We have passed on our selection of Schwartz resources to the Schwartz Center, who offer comprehensive support for Schwartz sites. Our Experiences of Care toolkits are now published by Picker.

Where can I go for support?

 Schwartz Rounds:

All licensing, training and support for Schwartz Rounds in the UK and Ireland is overseen by the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare. The Schwartz Center devised Schwartz Rounds originally, and oversees an international network of Schwartz sites in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Experiences of Care:

Our Experiences of Care programme was transferred to Picker in April 2025, and now forms part of Picker’s portfolio of services to measure and improve person-centred care.
