Katie Campion

Patient Experience Programmes Lead

Katie joined the Foundation in June 2022 as Patient Experience Programmes Lead.

Katie comes from a clinical background as a Specialist Physiotherapist in Neurology working with highly complex patients in diverse communities. She has over ten years experience working in the charity sector, designing and facilitating workshops for healthcare professionals which challenge traditional ways of working. Her most recent role was as Innovation and Co-production Lead developing new programmes and running Experience Based Co-design projects.

Academically, Katie has a Masters in Clinical Research. Before studying Physiotherapy, her first degree was in Philosophy and Psychology. This has led to her curiosity for what drives behaviour of both patients and professionals, in particular the impact of clinical vulnerability in professional interactions such as goal setting.

Katie really thrives when collaborating with people with lived experience. She is passionate about authentic co-design which can powerfully liberate patients and professionals to find solutions that work to things that really matter.
